PARIS, France – Peugeot has revealed its new racing beast to compete in the 2017 Dakar Rally.
The race will start in South America on January 2 and Peugeot’s most serious competitors will be a pair of Toyota Hilux bakkies designed and assembled in South Africa.
After some testing sessions in the hands of the four famous drivers/co-drivers, the time has come to show the Peugeot 3008 dressed in its Dakar combat gear!
The winners Stéphane Peterhansel / Jean-Paul Cottret, then Cyril Despres / David Castera who took gold from the 2016 Silk Way Rally, Carlos Sainz / Lucas Cruz 2nd at Morocco Rally and Sébastien Loeb / Daniel Elena are ready.
Peugeot was at the Dakar 2017 media conference today (Nov 23 2016) where the race’s detailed route was to be revealed, the automaker to show off the Peugeot DKR in its final racing livery in the colors of partners Total, Red Bull, Sparco and BFGoodrich.
