- All-new, high-tech, special tyres option
- Most sporty and agile Civic yet with Si badge
- First look at the Si in sedan guise
TORRANCE, California – The all-new 2017 Honda Civic Si Coupe and Si Sedan will make their first appearance this week (April 6 2017) in a dynamic video reveal on Honda’s YouTube channel at 8am Pacific Daylight Time.
The on-track video will, the automaker says, showcase the dynamic abilities of what Honda describes as “the sportiest and most agile Civic yet to wear the Si badge”.
The Civic Si Prototype, previewed as a coupe, debuted just before the 2016 Los Angeles auto show in November 2016. Now will come the production version of not only the 2017 Si Coupe but also the yet-to-be seen Si Sedan.
More vehicle details, including engine power / torque, prices, showrooms date and images will be available at reveal timing at the reveal hondanews.com/honda-automobiles/channels/civic-si.
What is known is that the 2017 Civic Si will be a high-performance, high-torque, 1.5-litre DOHC with direct fuel-injection and turbocharging for its four-cylinder engine.
Transmission will be a short-throw six-speed manual.
Performance upgrades will offer active suspension, variable-ratio steering, limited-slip differential and, as a side-salad, high-performance tyres.
The details will be live on Carman’s Corner as soon as possible after the event.
