- One of four five-star brands in Which? Car Guide
- 36 manufacturers rated in 44 000 survey
- More than 44 000 UK car owners surveyed
LONDON, England – Dacia has been rated as one the most reliable car brands out of 36 manufacturers in the 2017 Which? Car Guide – out-performing many well-established and/or premium brands.
Dacia was awarded five stars for its vehicles up to three years old and then three to eight years old.
The annual Which? Car Guide in 2017, measuring reliability and customer satisfaction, is based on feedback from more than 44 000 UK car owners based on their experience in the previous 12 months.
As well as breakdowns and faults, it considers repair costs, time off the road for repair and the most common faults for each model.
Louise O’Sullivan, head of Dacia UK, told The Corner in a media release: “We’re delighted that Dacia has been rated as one of the most reliable car brands in the survey. The simple Dacia range offers great value-for-money motoring and the most affordable cars in their respective segments.”
The owner rating was the latest in a number of accolades for Dacia in the UK since launching there just over four years earlier, among them What Car?’s ‘Best Small Car under £12 000’ (about R204 000 Aug 2017) title for its Sandero for five consecutive years.
More than four-million Dacias have been sold since parent Groupe Renault re-introduced the brand in Europe in 2004. Dacia was launched in the UK in 2013 and has sold more than 100 000 units to date (Aug 2017).
