PRETORIA, Gauteng – Land Rover’s Discovery Sport has through 2017 set a record for single-year global sales with 126 078 units – more than any other Land Rover in the brand’s 70 years.
The new Discovery Sport Landmark special edition, then, is a celebration model equipped with a unique colour and trim combination.
There are three colours – Grey, Black or White – each topped with a contrasting grey roof with a glass panel. Their front bumpers have what Land Rover calls ”bolder styling” and larger air intakes, the latter, together with the grille and side fender vents, with a graphite finish.
Also unique to the Landmark Edition is a set of 19” split-spoke Mantis wheels painted gloss dark grey with Ebony headlining and grained leather seats being striking counterpoints to dark brushed aluminium trim finishers.
Standard equipment includes a 20cm touchscreen with satnav, front/rear parking radar, ambient interior lighting, six-way adjustable front seats, 60:40 reclining second-row seating and a 10-speaker sound system.
The all-wheel drive Landmark Edition will be delivered only with a Td4 132kW two-litre diesel Ingenium engine and a nine-speed auto transmission.
